Cummins Inc. Upgrades To “Engine Producer Of The World†(CMI, CAT)
Tim Seymour: Columbus, Indiana-headquartered Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI) designs, manufactures, distributes and services diesel and natural gas engines which are dominant in European and emerging markets.
While dominant in the aforesaid markets, Cummins sells in 190 countries around the world, and manufactures electric power generation systems and engine-related component products, including filtration and exhaust after-treatment, fuel systems, controls, and air handling systems.
It is the world’s largest producer of diesel technology.
CMI should be followed like a Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) might be; they are a major global industrial read. GET A FREE TREND ANALYSIS FOR ANY STOCK HERE!
The company reports on the 30th of this month.
Today there are some upgrades citing improved conditions in China – hmm, sounds familiar. One house upgraded CMI following Chinese truck dealer interviews that indicated a bottoming in the market for medium and heavy trucks. CMI recently cut guidance; the move was and is an opportunity to get back into this name.
